Autobiography at its best
hansonsb· Review provided by ebay.com · April 26, 2018
In this book, Former President Jimmy Carter, details his memories, impressions and perspectives on his boyhood years in a rural south Georgia community. His vivid recollection of details about his family, people in his community, the farm and life in general are a priceless window onto an extraordinary life and a bygone era and a way of life that has been long forgotten. Any lover of Jimmy Carter, history, sociology, farm management or just a flat-out great story will be enthralled from beginning to end. I have read four of his books and this is by far my favorite. By the way, I think I liked it!
Great book.

I bought it for my 97 year old aunt who enjoyed reading it. It brought back memories of life when she was growing up.
Decent, but slow
