I bought this set for my niece to lure her away from her tablet. It was not as successful for that purpose, so I bought a 2nd set for me, and we are reading them together with daily chats on what happens! Kids are missing out on learning the love of reading with tablets and the almighty 3 minute videos. Focus, Commitment, Imagination, Vocabulary are falling to the side and I wanted to bring it back. Love the books, and, yes, there are movies, too.

The Percy Jackson series is amazing!! It brings Greek mythology to life! It also has unique character with their own personality! I love this series so much!! 5 stars!!❤❤

I bought this series for my nine-year-old granddaughter who lives in California. She enjoys reading which thrills her parents and me! Lately she is fascinated with ancient gods and goddesses as well as general mythology. This series of Percy Jackson and the Olympians is for her leisure reading; it is the dessert on the plate of her required reading and she has almost devoured the entire 5-book series. As an educator, I know how essential reading is to a child's education and I cannot say enough positive things about books that pique children's interests. Be it fiction or non-fiction, books that appeal to children's interests are wonderful stimuli for their reading skills. I am so happy to have found this series
