December 16, 2020I wasn't looking for a new Cajun cookbook but came across this one so bought it. I am so glad I did. It has truly authentic Deep South southern cooking from the Bayou. I needed to order some of the ingredients I need to make some of the recipes on-line but that was OK. I would thoroughly recommend.
Love this book!!

January 11, 2021I was born and raised on Bayou Lafourche which is about 10 minutes away from the locations referenced by the author!! I NEVER endorse anything that claims to be "Cajun". Reading the stories and recipes in this book I feel that I have stepped into my Maw Maw's kitchen!! Love it!!!
Nice book. Horrible customer service from BAM

January 21, 2021The book is fine.
The BAM service has been impossible.
I placed this order on December 28th. Because their system was so awkward and slow and I didn't think the order went through, I ordered it twice. I immediately began to try to reverse this. The first 6 emails I tried to send came back with mailerdemon. I tried to respond to emails sent to me to confirm my orderS. I looked on the website... no phone number.
It is January 21st, and I still have had no response from them. I finally found an address. So I will write them. Maybe snail mail will help me get this resolved.
I do understand that this is not the place for this kind of review but desperate times call for desperate measures.
I've been so consumed with this issue to the point where I've only peaked into the cookbook. It looks promising.
Entertaining and informative

May 18, 2020A great history of Cajun life and cooking. Lovely photos. For Australian readers many of the reveries may require sunstitute ingredients, but that should not detract from the value of the book
