This is a history of Franklin Barbecue. It's light on recipes but heavy on the why's and how's to make really fantastic barbecue. It's a really good teaching book and an engaging read.
Stunning book.

What a beautiful book! Fantastic INFORMATIVE anecdotes about the trial & error we all will face on this journey smoking. Heavy on technique. You will learn WHY and HOW a brisket ends up incredibly delicious, not just a list of ingredients. This is a deep dive. remember also this is CENTRAL TEXAS BBQ so not really sauce based but there are a couple good recipes. The mock Carolina one is great. Book itself is large w/ beautiful embossed cover and vibrant color pictures within. Will have for a long time.

BBQ cookbooks are gifts but they arrived in excellent condition! I looked thru one and info/pics look very professional and useful. Book is wonderful since "it lays flat" which is so useful when using a cookbook! Thank you!
A must for any budding smoker

I joined a Facebook group, I was recommended this book from a Louisiana member saying it changed his life! Big statement! Yes I am a new smoker from the north of England not your usual member of a smoker group, I now know what he meant this is not a recipe book with glossy pics ( food porn) but a belt n brasses guide to making you a better smoker, starting at the very start and and giving you an understanding of everything you need to be a pit master and a pit maker. If you want to smoke meat this book is a must. Happy smoking everyone
