Objective, thorough, and honest journalism. I have lived in the USA and couldn't understand while good Christian people could vote for Trump. After living in Louisiane with Hochschild, I understand.

Although i am politically liberal, I read this book to better understand a conservative viewpoint, particularly as regards environmental issues. It was helpful in that regard, and in understanding how scientific fact simply doesn't register for some Americans.
