Iwas excited to find this book on the shelf. I remember reading it when I was young and now I bought it for my granddaughter. She loves to read and I hope she enjoys this classic story.

If youve never read this book, well, you should haveso make up for it now. Its become a classic of social & other commentary. An essential part of cultural literacy, plus its an engaging read.

Sometimes I think that kids have the best deal when it comes to books, because there are so many great classics available. THE PHANTOM TOLLBOOTH may not be in quite the same league as THE WIND IN THE WILLOWS or ALICE IN WONDERLAND, but that doesn't mean it isn't rife with interesting and quirky characters, all based on numbers and words. It's endlessly clever, good-natured and humorous. I'd be happy to recommend it to any young person with an imagination -- and that's pretty much any young person.

Great condition. I remember reading this book when I was little and I knew I needed a copy its everything I wanted.
