November 7, 2024I have worn Brooks glycerin running shoes for years and have loved them. Recently, I decided to order new running shoes and because I am getting older I decided to get the adrenaline which have more support. I checked the website to see if I needed to order a different size since I was ordering a different style. From what I read on the site, I would need the same size that I had been In the glycerin shoe.
The day my new shoes arrived. I was headed out the door to run errands and decided to wear my new shoes. I immediately thought they looked a little longer but checked the size and they were the same size I always get. I wore them for a couple of hours and realized that they were definitely too long. And since I had worn them half the day, I realized that I would not be able to return them. I’m obviously disappointed and wish I had not just taken the word of the website and been more careful about making sure they fit perfectly before actually wearing them.😩
I believe anyone changing from glycerin to adrenaline running shoes should probably get a half size smaller. That’s my experience anyway.

December 6, 2023So I've been wearing the Adrenaline GTS since the 21s (which were the best of those I've tried by a very long shot). I bought a pair of the 22s last year, and they're okay. They had the larger thing on the heel, which reduced my joy in them over the 21s, but c'est la vie. So, when I needed new shoes this time around I bought some 22s as well as some 23s to see which I preferred, after reading all of the reviews (will send back the less preferable of the two). I have duck feet--narrow heel, wide up front. For me, the 23s have a much roomier heel area. As in, it's kind of baggy back there and while my heel isn't slipping at this point, it's not feeling too secure either, which was one of the things I most appreciated about the Adrenaline line. They feel wider in the toe box area, too, and it makes me wonder if I should have gone down a size. For dress type shoes I typically where a 6.5 in narrower brands and sometimes a 6 with certain wider styles. In running shoes, including Adrenaline, a standard 6 works. These feel roomier (particularly on the right shoe, which may be an adjustment thing) all around, especially the heel and the mesh portion of the front. Will be keeping one pair of the 23s for day-to-day use for the color, so interested in what they wear like over the long term. But, for running, I'm going to stick with the 22s again for a bit longer.
Loft cushioning breaks down at 8 month

May 27, 2024I’ve been an Adrenaline GTS fan for over 5 years. I pronate so I need the stabilization and I’m heavy (~250 lbs) so I need the support. Usually I get a pair every year as my everyday walking shoe. (I wear Ariel’s for running). Since I only wear them for walking, just normal running errands and such, they usually last at least a year.
As much as I loved the v23, the new loft cushioning they’re using does not hold up. I bought my current v23 pair late last summer (late July/August) and the inside sole cushion felt significantly compressed down by early March. I started having to pull the laces much tighter because there is noticeably more room inside the shoe since the sole is thinned down. I kept wearing them thinking it wouldn’t be a big deal, but it’s gotten progressively worse (sole is even more compressed). Now if I wear them walking in May my feet are sore the next day. My arches especially ache after a few hours of sedate walking.
I’m going to buy another pair of v23 because they were great for the first ~8 months. But if you expect everyday walking around shoes to make it 11-12 months the v23 may disappoint.

January 10, 2024I have bought and happily worn Brooks Adrenaline GTS shoes fir many, many years. I needed some solid black ones for a trip to Spain recently and bought my usual size. My past shoes have been so comfortable that I dudn’t bother to pack any other casual shoes, as I planned to do a lot of walking tours with my family, what a HUGE MISTAKE ! I was in agony for the entire week. Brooks changed this model drastically ! They are way, way more narrow, instep in wrong place, toe box crammed my feet and I had to keep them completely loose and untied in order to even walk in them. Also, the shoelaces are so shirt it’s laughable, but honestly…I was in tears many times just trying to get through each day. I even called Dick’s store to report this, in case their policy would not allow a return in my time frame I would be gone. Thankfully they have an amazing return policy on all their shoes and now that I’m home, can’t wait to bring these horribly redesigned shoes back ! Brooks, you lost a great customer of many years, same thing Asics did to their sneakers by narrowing the toe box which lead me to Brooks. I will now be in search of a new sneaker brand. VERY DISAPPOINTED EX DEDICATED BROOKS CUSTOMER, NO MORE…STAY AWAY FROM THIS YEAR’S SHOE !
