December 16, 2024I am not a runner and will never be a runner. I wanted an athletic shoe that does not irritate my neuropathy. These do an adequate job; not outstanding but OK. Also wanted a shoe with a lot of support b/c I am in the geriatric part of life and falls are an ever-present threat. I think these shoes provide this support. When the neuropathy and arthritis are behaving themselves, I am able to take walks in these shoes and everything is fine. One BIG drawback, especially b/c of fall threat is that the laces do not stay tied. I have no idea why they come loose but they do, OFTEN. I know, I know double knots. When YOU get old and have arthritis in YOUR back, you tell me how easy it is to deal with double knots in your shoes, both putting them on and taking them off. Sometimes they are just not worth the trouble and my old worn-out Nikes get pulled out of the closet.
Quite honestly, I would hesitate to recommend these shoes b/c of this. I would hate for someone to fall b/c the laces came undone.
I am not answering the rest of your questions and have no intention of giving this review a name. (Do we really need to get cutesy? I thought you were interested in feedback)

October 29, 2024I really like my new Adrenaline Brooks shoes. They are very comfortable and I like the looks of them. I chose the style that had the black, lower part and souls, because I thought with winter coming up, that would be a better color and also hopefully would not show as much dirt from any snow or slush. This is the first time I got a size 1D wide and I wish I had ordered 1D for my other Brooke shoe. In the past, I always purchased a size medium. I couldn’t get the 1D, unless I had them order it at the store, and it took several weeks until they arrived. I wear custom orthotics in my shoes, so I take out the insole that comes with the shoe, so there’s plenty of room with my orthotic. I think a person‘s widens ans they age. The only thing I did need to do with these new Adrenaline’s size 1 D, was to get a longer pair of shoelaces. The ones that come with the shoe, are a little short when my orthotic is in them, and it makes the bow very small when I tie them. Thank you for these comfortable shoes. Brooks have been my only sneaker for about 7 years now, and will always be.
30 year NB customer…switched to Brooks for Narrow Width Cushioning + Support

July 26, 2024I’m a 30+ year New Balance customer….but I require a Narrow width with a hard-to-find balanced support/cushioning shoe. NB discontinued my go-to shoe in Narrow widths (940W in 9.5 AA) & they no longer offer anything outside of exaggerated rocker super cushioned shoes or a pure 100% support running shoe in a Narrow width. So, I tried the Adrenaline GTS in my size and I immediately fell in love after the 1st run. The fit is just like my beloved NB 940W with that perfect balance between support & cushioning. I have a bone spur on one toe that really appreciates the form fitting upper that provides enough support without putting pressure on my big toe. I immediately went back to purchase a 2nd pair since I always like to keep a spare pair of running shoes to rotate in as my primary pair begins to wear out. Looks like after 30 years, I’ll be a Brooks customer! Thank you for continuing to innovate AND offer running shoes in Narrow widths! I’ll plan to buy only Brooks running shoes for the next 30 years! :-)

May 31, 2024I picked up the Brooks Men's Adrenaline GTS 23's as part of a shoe haul, along with a pair of ASICs running shoes and New Balance trainers. I was looking for one pair to be gym shoes, one for walking/running, and one as an everyday casual sneaker. The Brooks took the spot for my walking/running shoes, no big surprise as they were replacing a previous (well worn) pair of Brooks. This pair is an improvement over my previous Brooks, with stronger structure and a wider tread base that feels a bit more stable. The one con with these and every pair of Brooks I've owned is that, for some reason, I'm far more prone to roll my ankles in them when walking on uneven surfaces. It's happened painfully enough to be an issue. Otherwise they're the most comfortable walking/runners I've had in awhile, though I'm still adding an athletic insert to improve cushion and arch support. (Note: I got the blue and orange version. I don't generally like orange accents, but these look pretty sharp.)
