Baby " SIT DOWN " is used for the purpose of restraining a child from standing up in a mechanical sitting device, eg. a high chair, a stroller, a shopping cart, and is usually used in conjunction with an exsisting waiste line seat belt device.

BASIC DESCRIPTION: `
Baby " SIT DOW~ " consists of a main strap ~1) that fastens from one end of a mechanical sitting device's frame to the other side. This main strap is fastened around this frame by means of a presently exsisting mechanical fastening system, eg. Dome snaps or Velcro, and is adjusable.
In the central area of this main strap, on side (A) there are attached two smaller straps (a). These are for fastening aroun~ the child's ankles and are adjustable for ankle size and comfort. Straps (2) are fastened around the child's ankles by means of a presently e~sistina mechanical fastening system, eg. Dome snaps or Velcro.
The securing of the child's ankles combined with the reduced length of strap (1) attached to the frame, unables the child to accomplish a standing position on the mechanical sitting device.

-MATERIALS USED-BABY " SIT DOWN " is made from varlous materials such as cotton, nylon, polyesters, vinyl ect.. These materials come in several forms, eg. quilted and weaved.
DEMENSIONAL LIMITS:
~A~Y " SIT DOWN " comes in various lengths (L), widths ~W) and thicknesses (T) to conform to it's particular application An example of this would be a commercial application for shopping carts. The mater$al would be nylon in a tight weaved state with smaller dimensions so not to soil and be easily store away when these carts are folded up.

Claims (3)
1. When a child is seated in a mechanical sitting device strapped down with an exsisting waiste line seat belt device, if desired, the child can bring it's legs up undernieth it's buttocks and push upwards with thier arms and legs to achieve a standing position on this sitting device. This leaves the child in a dangerous standing position open to a fatal fall.
2. In restraining movement of the child's legs from going up undernieth it's buttocks, this standing position cannot be obtained.
3. Baby " SIT DOWN " achieves this by restraining the child's ankles from full movement yet leaving the child's legs to move freely within a comfortable range.
